The African Forestry and Wildlife Commission (AFWC) held its Twenty-second Session in Skukuza – Mpumalanga, South Africa, from 9 to 13 March 2020, at the kind invitation of the Government of the Republic of South Africa. The Session was attended by 331 participants including representatives from 25 member countries, and representatives from 3 institutions of the United Nations system. Observers from 10 intergovernmental, Regional Economic Communities, international and regional non-governmental organizations, Youth, Academia and Research Institutions also attended.
