The Executive Council endorsed the African Strategy on Combatting Illegal Exploitation and Illegal Exploitation of Wild Fauna and Flora in Africa through Decision EX.CL/Dec.879 (XXVII) adopted during the June 2015 AU Summit held in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Strategy has since become the reference document for AU member States and its Partners on the Conservation of Africa’s Wild Fauna and Flora.
